This is a match-fund fundraiser where every donation you make is doubled, the campaign target is £25000 with £12500 being match funded.
Match Funding Explained
When the public donates to a charity through a Big Give campaign, we ask funders (philanthropists, foundations or corporates) to match that donation.
So £50 from a member of the public, becomes £100 for a good cause. Fetcher Dog have managed to secure £12500 in match funding and there need to raise £12500 to take advantage of these pledges.
Background to the charity
The fallout of the pandemic and cost of living crisis has led to an increase in dogs in need of rescue. Dog pounds are full and more dogs are being put to sleep than ever and families have nowhere to turn when they run out of options for their dogs.
In order to help these dogs and their families, funding is a must.
We aim to rescue 150 dogs in 2025 and provide them with everything they need for a new start. 100 dogs will be rescued from the U.K. and 50 from Bosnia.
The benefit of this project for our community is three-fold, we will be improve the lives of the dogs that we rescue as well as benefitting the families they join and alleviating the pressure on the families, pounds and systems they are rescued from.
